Director / Founder

Jhon has been kiting for 20 years and has over 8 years of professional kiteboarding experience. Originally from Colombia, Jhon has been in the Cayman Islands for 13 years. He has travelled the world competing and was the Central and South American Champion in 2013.

A certified IKO instructor, Jhon has taught kitesurfing in Colombia, Ecuador, the Cayman Islands, and Peru. Jhon participated in the Kite Racing World Cup in 2012, 2013, and 2014 and was ranked the number 6 kiteracer in the world (2014). His focus is now set on qualifying for the debut of Kite Foil Racing in the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Part adventure-seeker, part nature-lover, Shallyn often finds herself in wild, beautiful spaces - typically with a camera in tow. She is a longtime advocate of protecting the environment and living sustainably. Professionally, Shallyn has worked in the legal industry for over 20 years, both in her home country of Canada and in various jurisdictions abroad.

Shallyn has been kitesurfing since she moved to Grand Cayman several years ago and is also one of our volunteer instructors.
